The Deep Form or ??? is an Aberration that lives in the Open Ocean in The Iron Rig DLC.

It can only be caught using Aberrated Bait on the Open Ocean after the completion of the Strange Specimens Pursuit. The probability of getting it is 5%.

Trivia

The Deep Form is colloquially referred to as "Hans" by the Discord community.

The Deep Form is the only fish in the game that can't naturally rot, meaning it can stay permanently fresh. (Note: if caught using Atrophy it can become permanently Stale/Rotting/Infected)
