Monster Ray

The Monster Ray (as referred to by the developers), also known as the Stargazer or Devil Ray by some fans, is a shallow water threat added in the v1.2.0 update. It's appearance is similar to the stargazer fish or some kind of ray.

It typically spawns at low to medium panic in shallow waters, more common at night but can still appear during the day. It will chase the player relentlessly until it either attacks or the player finds a place to dock. While fast it can be out maneuvered and sped with the right engines and technique.
