Time is a game mechanic in DREDGE, sometimes referred to as a Day/Night cycle. Time affects many in-game events and must be managed by the player carefully. Time is represented by the widget at the top of the screen at all times.

The dial is a semicircle with divisions along it's length to denote each hour. Inside the semicircle is a digital representation of the time, as well as the day's name and number in written form. It starts at 12:00 and ends at 12:00 before looping. It is Day 1, and at 24:00 it becomes Day 2.
The time-dial, passing time.

Time is represented by the time-dial at the top of the screen at all times. It shows the day of the week, the in-game day number since the save began, and the hour of the day, represented in a twenty-four-hour clock. When a new game starts, the time is set at 6:00.

Time only advances when the player moves, fishes, or takes some specific actions that involve waiting. These actions include resting and installing equipment.

Many events are time dependant.
