Description
The Tootfish is a Fish that can be caught in the Pale Reach. It requires the boat to be able to catch Ice either with a rod at any time of day. It sells for 60$ and has a maximum size of 1.20 m.
It's aberrated counterpart is the Bulbous Toothfish.

Real-Life Counterpart
- Toothfish, belonging to the family Nototheniidae, are large, predatory fish found in the cold waters of the Southern Ocean, particularly around Antarctica. Two main species, the Antarctic toothfish (Dissostichus mawsoni) and the Patagonian toothfish (Dissostichus eleginoides), are known for their elongated bodies and distinctive, sharp teeth. These fish can reach lengths of up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) and weigh over 100 kilograms (220 pounds). Toothfish are typically found at depths ranging from 200 to 1,500 meters (656 to 4,921 feet) and are well-adapted to their cold, deep-sea environment, possessing antifreeze proteins that prevent ice crystal formation in their blood. They are opportunistic feeders, preying on a variety of organisms such as fish, squid, and crustaceans. Due to their high market value, particularly in seafood markets, Toothfish have been the focus of significant commercial fishing, leading to concerns about overfishing and sustainability. As a result, conservation measures and management practices are in place to ensure the long-term viability of Toothfish populations in their natural habitats. Their ecological role as top predators makes them vital for maintaining the health of marine ecosystems in which they reside.
