Twisted Strand is a region found in DREDGE.

The Twisted Strand consists of a Mangrove Forest with large trees, vines, and roots sprawling from island to island. It is the only location in the game where brackish and freshwater fish can be caught. The Twisted Strand is littered with the wreckage of biplanes, and Dog Tags can be found that belonged their crews who fell victim to the hostile environment. The Twisted Strand is by far the foggiest of all the locations. This makes seeing Mind Suckers difficult, and sometimes you may only be able to see them from a certain camera angle due in the fog. An alternative is to use audio to discern whether a Mind Sucker is nearby, as they make a splashing sound as they emerge from the water.

If Panic gets high enough while in the Twisted Strand, Vines will attack the ship. Thankfully, it's difficult to become panicked here, as the only enemies are the Mind Suckers, who can be avoided, killed through the pursuit The Bitter End or banished. Despite the lack of enemies, the strand's terrain, perhaps the most cramped of any island, can be highly treacherous if you aren't careful.
