The Unseeing Mother is an enormous fish that can be found in the Devil's Spine. As her name implies, she is blind and cannot see the player. However, she can hear the calls of the Piranhas when they swarm the player and will come to their aid by biting at the boat. The unseeing mother patrols the archipelago to the north and east, always accompanied by a few of her children.

The unseeing mother seems to have inhabited the Devil's Spine for a very long time, as the columns at the Ancient Temple depict her and her children.

Although she cannot be banished, she is incapable of harming the player without her children, who are vulnerable to the Banish ability. However, one should keep in mind that once the effects of Banish have worn off, any banished piranhas will respawn quickly.
