Devil's Spine
Devil's Spine is a region found in the top right corner in the world of DREDGE. It's name is a direct reference to the curvature of the string of islands, forming what looks like the shape of a spine. Located within the region are the Ancient Ruins, Ancient Temple, as well as the Charred Pontoon, inhabited by the Travelling Merchant. Other than the Travelling Merchant, the only other person lingering around the islands is the Fanatic.

Dangers
Swarming around the Devil's Spine are Piranhas that will slow you down, crying out for their Unseeing Mother. The Piranhas themselves do not damage your boat, but the more that accumulate beneath you, the slower you become, making it harder to avoid the Unseeing Mother. Like other places, your panic can attract the likes of Waterspouts and Tentacles.
Panic
When at high Panic the statues of hooded figures holding bowls, which are located both partially in the water and fully out of it, will have red eyes under the hood and a red flame in the bowl. The red eyes are similar to a panic effect of red eyes appearing around you in the darkness.
