• The Volcano Snail (Chrysomallon squamiferum), also known as the Scaly-foot Snail, is a unique species of deep-sea snail found near hydrothermal vents in the Indian Ocean. It has a dark, iron-rich shell and foot covered in hardened scales, making it one of the few animals known to incorporate iron into its body. The Volcano Snail can grow up to 4 cm (1.6 in) in length. This species is adapted to the extreme conditions of its habitat, including high temperatures and toxic chemicals. The Volcano Snail is currently under threat due to deep-sea mining activities, which may disrupt its delicate ecosystem.

• By placing a small 2x1 crab inside a basic crab pot in Devil's Spine, only Volcanic Snails will spawn in that crab pot. More complex patterns can be created for larger pots to hold more snails before needing to be emptied.
