The Wreckfish can be caught in the following locations:

• P4 (South, over the wreck at the mouth of the southern inlet)
• N4 (Just south of the Dusty Pontoon, over the wreck on a jutting rock)

Real-Life Counterpart

• The Wreckfish (Polyprion americanus) is a large, deep-sea fish found in the Atlantic and Mediterranean Oceans. It has a robust, elongated body and a large head with a broad mouth. Wreckfish can grow up to 2 m (6.6 ft) in length and weigh over 100 kg (220 lb). They are typically found near underwater shipwrecks and rocky outcrops, hence their name. Wreckfish are a long-lived species, with some individuals living for over 70 years. They are targeted by commercial fisheries, but their populations are generally stable due to sustainable management practices.

Trivia

• The Wreckfish spawns exclusively above shipwrecks. This is the most obvious example of the intentional placement of Disturbed Waters.
• Due to their spawn numbers being low, aberrated version may be more difficult to catch.
