Exotic Fish
Exotic Fish are rare fish in DREDGE that can only be found in specific locations. They can only be fished up from one fishing spot each and can only be caught once. They all take up a large amount of space in the player's inventory but are worth a large amount of money ($250).
This changes in the Iron Rig DLC as the player can use Exotic Bait to repeatably catch exotic fish.
There are 4 Exotic fish in the base game of DREDGE: the Oarfish, Gulper Eel, Goliath Tigerfish and Coelacanth.
All 4 of these fish are a part of the Recording Rarities pursuit.
The Pale Reach DLC contains an additional Exotic fish, the Sleeper Shark.
The Aberrations of Exotic fish are exclusive to the Iron Rig DLC. In order to catch the Sleeper Shark aberration, both major DLC's must be purchased.
