The Fanatic resides in the ruins of an ancient temple. Upon docking, he will greet the Fisherman as a disciple of the deep and as his replacement. He will mention the rite of purification, then proceed to question the fisherman. Regardless of the player's answers, the fanatic will conclude the trial and state that the fisherman still has much to learn. He will give the fisherman the role of his initiate, his herald of the purge just as he was for the one before him.

Pursuits

• The Fanatic offers the "Flames of The Deep" pursuit, where he will instruct the fisherman fetch three Fathomless Flames from the shrines of the deep, then place those flames on the crucibles. Once the three flames have been placed, he will conduct the rite of purification and leave the fisherman to take his place.
