A stray dog. It's curled up asleep, opening an eye occasionally to watch you move around the boat.

Dog is as it's description states: a stray dog. It is found outside the ruined remains of a resort hut in Stellar Basin.

You can choose to give it to the Researcher. If given to her, her portrait will change to include the dog. You can also choose to keep the dog for yourself, but in order to keep the dog you must still talk to the Researcher and choose the option "Actually, I think I'm going to keep the dog". Be aware that keeping the dog means it will take up a 2x2 space in your boat's inventory or storage.

• The Dog offers the Lost Dog pursuit, leaving you the option to keep the dog onboard, or to find a better home for it.

Triva

• The dog is one of the few items that cannot be lost overboard, like other items when you get hit, or discarded.
• Regardless of your choice, once the pursuit is completed the dog will cough up a Sapphire Ring for you to sell.
