Lighthouse Keeper

Description

The Lighthouse Keeper of Greater Marrow is a major character in the story and is one of the few who knows the Old Mayor of Little Marrow.

She is the one who points the Fisherman in the direction of the second Relic, behind Greater Marrows. Though she also tries to dissuade the fisherman from looking for the relic.

Her lighthouse can be seen throughout the map, making it easy to find your way back to The Marrows. Its height also allows her to see goings on of The Marrows, so when asked about Blackstone Isle she speaks of the return of an ill-fated boat and the unnatural light that flickered from its windows.

“Why are you here? [...] There’s nothing here for someone like you anymore. Do yourself a favor and move on.”

Notable Dialogue

• "I see plenty of strange things from atop the lighthouse. Sometimes I don't know whether or not I can trust my own eyes. Are you really standing here in front of me? Or is this just another of the fog's tricks?" (when asked about strange occurrences)
• "There's a spot near the back of Greater Marrow where the current carries in wreckage from the sea. Some nights you can see an... unnatural glow rising from that patch of dark water. I can't imagine what's down there in the deep." (when asked about nearby shipwrecks)
• "That's... he's... I try not to think about him. It's a painful memory for us all. Some nights I still think I can hear the hum of his engines sailing past the bay... But I know he's gone - and I don't want to talk about it anymore." (when asked about the Old Mayor)

Story

In order to access the events ahead, you must find and talk to the Old Mayor.

After you reveal the true identity of the Collector and retrieve the book, you make your way back to Greater Marrow and talk to the Lighthouse Keeper, stating that you have the book. She will guide you with the lighthouse to the spot you must throw the Book of the Deep into the sea. Upon throwing the book back into the water, the Leviathan will appear beneath your boat before jumping up to eat your boat whole.
