Aberrated Bait is a form of Bait from the Iron Rig DLC. When deployed, it spawns a fishing spot stocked with any non-exotic Aberration from the current Region. Using Aberrated Bait in the Open Ocean is the only way to catch the Deep Form.
Aberrated Bait is first given to the player by the Foreman. It can be crafted at the tier 4 Factory for 1x Mixed Bait, 2x Rot, 2x Dark Splashes and $75.
Trivia
The sprite for Aberrated Bait was used to tease the new features of the Iron Rig DLC on the dredge.game website with the caption "Research enhanced versions of some abilities". However, the file name of the image was unchanged, unintentionally leaking the name bait-ab.png. "ab" is the abbreviation used in the game files to label Aberrations.
