Description
A foul ooze, congealing into strange and shifting shapes.

The Dark Splash is an Item that can be found in the Iron Rig DLC. It is used to craft various Items in the Factory, Foundry and Tech Lab.

Dark Splashes are acquired by sitting over popping bubbles of Ooze or missing an indicator when fishing inside an oozed body of water. It can also be added to the player's Boat by Ooze Tumors and Ocular Ooze.

History

The Dark Splash was first revealed in a screenshot posted to The Iron Rig Steam page^[1].

Its name was revealed in a post to the BSG X account ^[2].

Trivia

Before the official name was revealed, Dark Splash was nicknamed "Black Slime" or "Black Ooze" by some fans. This was in reference to a dream that one of the members of the DREDGE Discord server had.
