Research Parts are needed to research and unlock equipment. They can be found while dredging, or bought from the Travelling Merchant.

- Given as a reward for numerous Pursuits

Tips
You can farm the Travelling Merchant for research parts. It will, however, take a great deal of patience as she rarely stocks it. You will need to save and quit, then check if she has a part in stock. If she doesn't, just repeat the process of save and quitting and reloading until you have one.
Another way to efficiently get research parts is by running through the loop at Steel Point. Upon dredging the three Cloth, Wood, and Metal Scrap locations, as well as the wood location around the island (at the South-Eastern portion of L10), players may gain a significant amount of research parts alongside other necessary materials.
